Services

Four kinds of work

We are a small, senior software company. Rather than covering everything, we do a narrow set of things properly.

Custom web applications

A system built for one business and its actual process, instead of bending the business around generic software.

  • Customer and operations portals
  • Booking, scheduling and order systems
  • Reporting dashboards

Integrations & APIs

Getting the tools a company already pays for to talk to each other, so data stops being copied by hand.

  • Payment and billing platforms
  • ERP, CRM and accounting systems
  • REST and webhook APIs, documented

Internal tools & automation

The unglamorous software that removes repetitive manual work from a team's week.

  • Admin panels and back offices
  • Scheduled jobs and data imports
  • Document and invoice generation

Maintenance & support

Ongoing care for a live system under a monthly agreement, so it keeps working after the project ends.

  • Dependency and security updates
  • Monitoring and incident response
  • Small changes and new features
How we work

No surprises, in either direction

Every engagement follows the same four stages. You know the scope and the price before development starts.

Discovery

One or two weeks reviewing the process, the existing systems and the constraints. Ends in a written scope.

Written quote

A fixed price and delivery window for that scope, or a monthly rate if the work is open-ended.

Build in sprints

Two-week increments with a working demo at the end of each one, so direction is corrected early.

Handover

Deployment, documentation and the repository transferred to you. Support continues if you want it.

Technology

What we build with

A deliberately boring, long-lived stack. Nothing here will be hard to hire for or hand over in three years.

  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • React
  • Next.js
  • PostgreSQL
  • REST APIs
  • Docker
  • AWS

Questions

Common questions

How do you price a project?

Fixed-scope projects are quoted as a single price after discovery, invoiced in stages. Open-ended work is billed as a monthly retainer for an agreed number of development days. Either way you get the number in writing before development begins.

Who owns the software you build?

You do. Intellectual property in the delivered work transfers to the client on final payment, and the source repository is handed over with it. We do not keep clients locked to us for access to their own system.

How small a project will you take?

Small, well-defined pieces of work are welcome — an integration between two systems, or a single internal tool. What we cannot do well is very large programmes needing a full team; in that case we will say so rather than take the work.

Do you work with companies outside the United States?

Yes. The company is registered in New Mexico and works remotely with clients in the United States and Europe. Invoicing is in US dollars unless agreed otherwise.

What happens if we want to stop?

Fixed-scope projects can be halted between stages, with work completed to that point invoiced and handed over. Retainers run month to month with 30 days' notice on either side.
